Ash Wednesday
Wednesday, March, 2 •  noon & 7:00 pm
Ash Wednesday is the first of the 40 days of Lent.  Customarily, we receive blessed ashes on our forehead from the palms burned after last year’s Palm Sunday.  The ritual reminds us that we are human and mortal, leading us to a greater understanding and appreciation of life. The 7:00 p.m. service will be streamed on Facebook Live.

The Great Litany
Sunday, March 6 • 10:00 am
The Great Litany is the traditional liturgy for the first Sunday of Lent.  Jon, our Deacon, and Ben, our Music Director, will chant this intercessory prayer.

Sunday Morning Services
      March 6, 13, 20, 27, April  3 • 7:45 am 10:00 am
Regular Sunday morning services will continue throughout the season with the traditional liturgy. Third Sundays of the month are “Family Sundays.”  These services are shorter in length geared for children. Only the 10:00 am services will be available online.

Lenten Soup Supper:
Being 
Invitational
Wednesday, March 9, 16, 23, 30, April 6 • ​ 6:00 pm
Join us for a bowl of soup as we explore the season with Lent on being Invitational. What attracts people to St. John's? How do you invite people to join a church community in a secular society? These are questions we will explore in a five week series. This is series is in-person only.

Feast of St. Patrick: Contemporary 
                 Saturday, March 19 • 5:00 pm
Join us as we go Irish celebrating the Feast of St. Patrick with our praise band, interactive worship and a reception to follow. This upbeat service is something you don't want to miss out on! 

Taize
       Saturday, April 9 • ​ 5:00 pm
This worship service is a meditative service using music and silence for reflection. Join us as we take time to do some additional Lenten meditation. 

Palm Sunday
Sunday, April 10 • ​7:45 am & 10:00 am
Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week when we celebrate the day that Jesus entered into Jerusalem as crowds cheered and waved palm branches.  We remember the final days of Jesus’ life by reading the story of his triumph, betrayal, condemnation, and crucifixion. We will also be celebrating the close of our successful annual pledge drive recognizing everyone's generosity.

​A Service of Remembrance
Wednesday, April 13 • 12:00 noon
​This service is a time to grieve and share a meal together, remembering the many losses of the past year.  Participants will be invited to tell a story about a person or a part of their lives that they lost during the pandemic.  A light lunch is provided. This service will be in-person only. 
​
Maundy Thursday
    Thursday, April 14 • 6:00 pm
Maundy Thursday commemorates The Last Supper and the institution of the Eucharist. We have a soup supper also known as an Agape meal at 6pm and strip the altar in preparation for Good Friday. The liturgy begins at 7pm.  The liturgy will be offered online at 7:00pm

​Stations of the Cross
Friday, April 15 • 12:00 noon
​This practice recalls the series of events at the end of Jesus’ life from his condemnation to his burial.  We will do this service outdoors walking through our patio and meditation garden. This will be in person only.

Good Friday
Friday, April 15 • 7:00 pm
Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.  The liturgy includes the reading of the story of Christ’s death on the cross from the Gospel according to John.

Holy Saturday Prayer
Saturday, April 16 • 10:00 am
This is a short prayer service commemorating the day Christ’s body was buried and his followers held vigil outside of the tomb.  This service will be livestreamed onto our Facebook page (please note this is not our regular livestream service).

​Easter Vigil
    Saturday, April 16 • 7:00 pm
​This service is the first official celebration of the resurrection of Jesus and features lay preaching.  
​
Easter Sunday
      Sunday, April 17 • 7:30 am, 9:00 am & 11:00 am
Easter Day is the feast of Christ’s resurrection!  Experience a renewed sense of hope and celebrate the proclamation of the risen Christ. The 9:00 am service is a family style service with an Easter egg hunt to follow.  Only the 9:00 am and 11:00 am will be livestreamed. 

Sunday services consist of a 7:45 am spoken service with a 10:00 am choral service. All services will be livestreamed as well as in-person unless otherwise mentioned. Click here to livestream worship services.
