Easter Season

Please join us for Lent, Holy Week, and Easter
All are Welcome! In-person and online!
Ash Wednesday
Wednesday, March, 1 •  noon & 7:00 pm
Ash Wednesday is the first of the 40 days of Lent.  Customarily, we receive blessed ashes on our forehead from the palms burned after last year’s Palm Sunday.  The ritual reminds us that we are human and mortal, leading us to a greater understanding and appreciation of life. The 7:00 p.m. service will be streamed on Facebook Live.

Sunday Morning Services
      March 5, 12, 19, 26, April  2 • 7:45 am 10:00 am
Regular Sunday morning services will continue throughout the season with the traditional liturgy. Third Sundays of the month are “Family Sundays.”  These services are shorter in length geared for children. Only the 10:00 am services will be available online.

The Churches Have Left Their Buildings!
We would like to invite you to join our Lenten Series that we're calling The Churches Have Left Their Buildings! While the pandemic suspended much of our activity in the broader community, some of it is coming back in new ways.  See the Home Page for more details!

Palm Sunday
Sunday, April 2 • 7:45 am & 10:00 am
Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week when we celebrate the day that Jesus entered into Jerusalem as crowds cheered and waved palm branches.  We remember the final days of Jesus’ life by reading the story of his triumph, betrayal, condemnation, and crucifixion. We will also be celebrating the close of our successful annual pledge drive recognizing everyone's generosity.

A Service of Remembrance
Wednesday, April 5 • 12:00 noon
This service is a time to grieve and share a meal together, remembering the many losses of the past year.  Participants will be invited to tell a story about a person or a part of their lives that they lost during the pandemic.  A light lunch is provided. This service will be in-person only.

Maundy Thursday
    Thursday, April 6 • 6:00 pm
Maundy Thursday commemorates The Last Supper and the institution of the Eucharist. We have a soup supper also known as an Agape meal at 6pm and strip the altar in preparation for Good Friday. The liturgy begins at 7pm.  The liturgy will be offered online at 7:00pm

Good Friday
Friday, April 7 • 7:00 pm
Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.  The liturgy includes the reading of the story of Christ’s death on the cross from the Gospel according to John.

Easter Vigil
    Saturday, April 8 • 7:00 pm
This service is the first official celebration of the resurrection of Jesus and features lay preaching.

Easter Sunday
      Sunday, April 9 • 7:30 am, 9:00 am & 11:00 am
Easter Day is the feast of Christ’s resurrection!  Experience a renewed sense of hope and celebrate the proclamation of the risen Christ. The 9:00 am service is a family style service with an Easter egg hunt to follow.  Only the 9:00 am and 11:00 am will be livestreamed.
