After living six years in Paris, France, Kathy returned to Oakland in 2016. She never dreamed she would live here again, 2 miles from the hospital where she was born and across the street from the cemetery where most of her family is buried! But here she is!
As a lifelong Episcopalian who has moved a considerable number of times, when she first came to St. John’s, she felt so welcomed, and was instantly included in parish life, so much a part of it all. She is so pleased to have found St. John's, a committed, forward thinking, engaged congregation, and it is her great pleasure to make sure everyone who comes to St. John’s gets the wonderful reception she got. In addition to her Accounting duties (paying church bills and assisting the Finance Committee), Kathy also volunteers as a reader, a chalice bearer and a subdeacon. |
