New Associate Rector: Rev. Kathleen Moore Starting November 1!
Kathleen (she/her) earned a Master of Divinity degree at Church Divinity School of the Pacific in 2019 and was ordained to the priesthood in 2020. She served as seminarian intern at St. John's during her second and third years at CDSP. A communications professional, she has been the communications manager at Canticle Communications since 2014.
Before seminary, she spent two years working as the social media manager for The Orvis
Company and as the communications minister for the Diocese of Vermont. After college, she began her career by working for eight years in the television industry in Los Angeles.
Kathleen is currently the President of the House of Deputies Julia Ayala Harris’s representative on the Standing Commission on Liturgy and Music. Her prior churchwide experience includes
serving on the Task Force on Liturgical and Prayer Book Revision (2018-21) and the President of the House of Deputies Special Committee on Sexual Harassment and Exploitation (2018).
Born and raised in New York City, Kathleen holds a B.A. in History from Kenyon College and has lived in Southern and Northern California, Vermont, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, and spending time outside. She lives with her two cats, Gaston and Shermy, the latter of whom will be traveling to Oakland on his eighth cross-country voyage.
