Year-round Stewardship

The real task of stewardship is to manage, appreciate and support that for which we are responsible. Our annual campaign - the pledge drive_ is the fiscal foundation of this responsibility. The lights must stay on for us to do the work we do. 

We offer our humble and respectful thanks for our spiritual ancestors. We thank the Ohlone people on whose unceded land we base our spiritual home. we also thank our predecessors in the St. John's congregation for bringing us to this time and space, and inspiring us to journey forward with love for our whole community. As we are grateful for that which we are able to enjoy as our home here in Oakland, we are responsible for all aspects of maintaining and managing the property. 

To support this stewardship vision, St. John's encourages members to nurture generous and open hearts to fund our facility and staff. Our stewardship vision for our land and our spiritual home is on The Path of Generosity.
