Gateway Construction Update: A Big Week!

This was a big week on the site! Events included: disassembly and removal of the temporary bridge which supported the drill rig, final cut and compaction of the east and west footprints for the coming concrete abutments, placement of rebar cages within the hallow steel piles, pouring of concrete to complete the piles, and the beginning of rebar cages for the abutments which will rest atop the piles once formed and poured. At this point we can say about half of the foundation elements for the bridge are in place!
