Youth Choirs

Directed by Sara Evinger, Youth Music Minister, the youth music program seeks to continue the musical traditions of the church and to enhance seasonal liturgy, using music and drama to connect Sunday to the rest of the week.

  • Youth Choir, open to first through twelfth graders, meets twice a month, usually on first Tuesdays (after Pizza Club) Youth ChoirYouth Choirfrom 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on third Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Choir members explore faith in everyday life through fellowship, traditional and contemporary sacred and secular music, skits and poetry. They contribute to the 9:00 a.m. and later service several times each year, and on Christmas Eve and Easter; they participate in original productions twice a year, written especially for them by Sara E.

  • Sunday Choir -This choir for preschoolers through third-graders, practices following the 9:00 a.m. service around the sanctuary piano. They sing at three to four first-Sunday or 9:00 a.m. services each school year, and with the Youth Choir on Christmas Eve at the 4:30 p.m. service.

Instrumentalists
Those who have studied a musical instrument for two or more years are also encouraged to make their talents known to the Youth Music Minister.

Cherub Choir
Preschoolers practice during church school and will sing in church on All Saints (11/4), and on Christmas Eve with the Youth Choir at the 4:30 p.m. service.
