Communications
A parish can never have too much communication. Whether by Sunday announcements, website, newsletter, weekly email, or the occasional letter, St. John’s strives to keep everyone informed.
Bulletin Boards
These boards help keep parish members informed by displaying information about upcoming events, educational opportunities and special occasions. Use of the Narthex and hall areas are scheduled through the staff and recorded in the office calendar.
Church Mouse - Newsletter
This newsletter is published every other month. It contains articles from the Rector and the Senior Warden, information and reservation forms for special events, ministry activities and news from around the parish and the diocese. It is now being distributed by email for parishioners with email addresses. Printed copies are always available on the shelves on the right hand side of the Narthex.
E-mail
Weekly emails from Dennis Reeve, the parish office manager, give the service times, adult education offerings and news of parish events.
History/Archive/Parish Narratives
St. John’s is almost 60 years old. Bryan Culp is archiving the past and present through electronic and print mediums. Volumes are on display at the Ministries Fair and St. John’s Day.

Parish Directory
Published twice a year, the directory has the most recent phone, address and email information for all parishioners. Changes should be sent to admin@stjohnsoakland.org or given to Dennis in the parish office.
Sunday Bulletin
Parishioners may use the bulletin to announce upcoming events in the parish and community. Copies of the form to use for posting submissions are available in the Narthex and on the website and should be sent to admin@stjohnsoakland.org.
Website
Stjohnsoakland.org is THE place to get immediate information on upcoming events, parish leaders and ministries. You can also fill out a form for a Sunday Bulletin announcement, reserve a room for meetings or events, and hear the sermons you missed or want to hear again.
